Carillion wins Royal Victoria Docks resi towersThu 16 Jan 2014
Carillion has won a deal to build two tower blocks comprising 360 new homes at London’s Royal Victoria Docks.
The Hub Residential Hoola project will deliver two towers, rising to 23 and 24 storeys respectively.
The buildings have been designed by CZWG Architects. All homes will be for private sale.
Construction is scheduled for mid-2014 and is set to finish in late 2016. Hub Residential development director Steve Sanham said: “We’re delighted to have appointed Carillion for our Victoria Docks development.
“They bring a wealth of experience and quality to a scheme that we see as a figurehead for housing development in London that is within reach of hard-working Londoners but does not compromise on design or standards."
Carillion director John Rodaway added: “We are pleased to have been selected for this prestigious project and to be working with Hub Residential to help deliver their ambitious plans to develop new housing in London. “This project will make an important contribution to the revitalisation of this area."
Hub Residential is a mid-market property specialist operating in the London area.
The team has submitted a planning application and is expecting a response later this month. Subject to acceptance, Carillion will start on site shortly afterwards.
