Spring Forward - April NewsletterWed 12 Apr 2017
London is one of the greenest capital cities in the world. Its brilliant parks and squares breaking up the urban sprawl with pockets of tranquillity and peace. Roads lined with trees, parks filled with kids at play, reminding us of a slower, calmer pace of life and a greater sense of wellbeing. At this time of year, there’s blossom everywhere and it really lifts the spirits.
We’ve extra reason to feel cheery. In March, we marked a major milestone in the construction of Material Store, our exciting, upcoming development in Hayes. A topping out ceremony for the truly unique scheme of 189 Build to Rent apartments, in conjunction with Interserve, our construction partner. Lee Keaney, one of our many on-site apprentices led the event, it was a great moment as Lee beautifully skimmed the cement on the final uppermost piece of the construction phase jigsaw, using his trowel with Jedi Knight-like dexterity - plumbing is obviously not his only forte!
Lee is a brilliant example of our commitment to support and foster local communities, giving local young people the opportunity to get involved and be a part of making it happen. This not only helps to nurture a positive spirit as our developments become a reality, it helps to galvanize the surrounding area and set the tone for what we hope will be the development’s future; inclusive, ambitious and positive.
Material Store’s emphasis on shared social and recreational space and a healthy mix of apartment types will help it burst into life and thrive: not just around springtime, but all the time.

The next time we barge ourselves into your inbox, we will be raving about the imminent completion of Rehearsal Rooms, our Build to Rent development in North Acton. We’ll be able to update you on what we’re up to in Croydon, and will be reflecting on our sales event for The Boiler House. Vol au vent, anyone? Glass of fizz? Amazing two bedroom apartment?
