Croyd… On!Tue 06 Jun 2017
We’re delighted to have received planning permission from Croydon Council for a brilliant new scheme in the centre of the town. In record time, we have approval for the former Taberner House site to transform into 514 new homes for sale and for rent, with architecture by Stirling Prize-winning Alford Hall Monaghan Morris.
Importantly, we are committing to delivering 35% of the homes at subsidised levels. The plans will also revitalise and reimagine the popular Queen’s Gardens.
We believe the speed of approval has been helped by our fundamental belief in respecting the existing communities, listening to as many locals and doing our research into the long history of the site. Throughout, we have been completely open and inclusive to the thoughts and ideas of Croydon Council.
It promises to be less a bucket & spade summer for us at HUB. We’re so keen to begin, we’ll just need the spades to start digging on site!
