A new central Birmingham site from National Express
We are excited to announce our first development outside of the South East having recently acquired a large site in the heart of Digbeth, Birmingham. The new site is a 6-acre plot currently home to a National Express bus garage.
We will be putting forward plans for a large-scale mixed-use regeneration scheme, made up of creative work space, residential, leisure and retail uses. Creating a buzzing new live-work space around a new public space with great views over the canal, for a city undergoing a lot of change.
Tim Barlow, our Chief Operating Officer, says, ‘Digbeth is a historic neighbourhood with a long industrial heritage that is now fast emerging as Birmingham’s creative hub… We will be working closely with National Express, Birmingham Council, the local community and other stakeholders as we develop our plans for the site’.
Our new site will be within easy reach of Birmingham New Street, thanks to a new Metrolink Station, and eventually London, via HS2. We look forward to beginning this project and watching the community continue to thrive and evolve.
