Chairman

Edward has almost three decades’ experience in global financial markets. He spent twenty years in investment banking and seven more in fund management. Roles included Global Head of Research at Commerzbank Securities, Head of Japan Sales at Jefferies & Co. and Head of Listed Investment Companies at LGT Capital Partners.

As Chairman, Edward oversees HUB’s interaction with its investors and is responsible for human resources.

Robert’s entrepreneurship has been pivotal in the establishment of a series of investment and development companies within the SquarestoneHUB group. He has originated and delivered a wide range of projects in residential and commercial real estate in a career spanning over 25 years, working alongside friend and long-term business partner Tim Barlow for the past 15 years.

As Chief Executive Officer, Robert delivers to HUB extensive experience in the fields of business strategy, creative funding and new business generation.

Chief Operating Officer

Tim fulfils the Chief Operating Officer role for all of the SquarestoneHUB group of companies having started out in residential development before diversifying into the commercial sector. HUB sees him returning to his residential roots.

Tim has over 25 years’ experience in commercial and residential real estate, 15 of which have seen him working across a huge range of investment activities with friend and long-term business partner Robert Sloss. These include establishing ventures such as the F15 Partnership, Squarestone Central London LP and more.

Managing Director

Damien Sharkey is HUBs Managing Director. Damien is keenly involved in all aspects of the HUB business, leading the development process from acquisition and funding through design, consultation, planning, procurement, delivery through to completion. An architect by background, Damien remains passionate about design and ensures maximum value through thoughtful design, technical accuracy and efficient delivery for all of HUBs portfolio. Internally Damien has developed with the HUB business after joining as a Development Manager back in 2014. His agile thinking and proclivity for problem solving allow him to develop the HUB direction, structure deals and lead a fantastic team.

Marcio Sugui

Marcio Sugui

Group Finance Director

Marcio has worked in corporate finance for over 15 years. Working for multinationals in the real estate, industrial and service sectors, he has a wealth of experience in analysis, funding structuring, financial planning, reporting and compliance, and more.

Marcio holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of São Paulo, a BA in accounting from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and a post-graduate degree in finance from the Getulio Vargas Foundation, São Paulo.

Tom Stoneham

Tom Stoneham

Development Manager

Tom has experience working as a qualified architect for some of the UK’s leading architectural practices. Tom has worked on a diverse mixture of projects in London, this experience allows him to work closely with design consultants and contractors to help deliver design-led projects.

Tom holds both an honours degree and a Masters degree from the University of Liverpool.  His postgraduate Certificate of RIBA Professional Practice is from London South Bank University.

Victoria Manston

Development Manager

Victoria is a qualified town planner and Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Victoria has worked for both national and international developers including Berkeley Homes and Greenland Group on a range of projects across London, from high-density, mixed-used projects such as The Ram Brewery in Wandsworth to heritage-led housing schemes in sensitive parkland settings such as Trent Park in Enfield. Victoria has experience across the development process from acquisition through to delivery.

Victoria holds an honours degree from the University of Leeds and a Masters degree from University College London.

Brad Burridge

Development Manager

Brad joined SquarestoneHUB in 2019 to oversee the portfolio’s commercial development projects, and is now working across the residential side of the business as well. Previously, he has held roles in both structural engineering and project management. As such, he brings with him a breadth of experience in the planning and delivery of commercial, residential, and mixed-use schemes. Brad is a chartered engineer, who holds both an honour’s degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in management from the University of Auckland.

Lorna Cox

Financial Controller

Lorna is an ACA qualified chartered accountant with over 5 years’ experience managing finance teams.

She qualified after 3 years of working in audit with subsequent experience working as Finance Manager for a housing association and then at a firm of architects.

Prior to joining HUB, Lorna was Head of Finance at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy managing a team of 11.  Key responsibilities included ensuring that the finance team provided a high quality customer focused service and that key reporting requirements both internally and to statutory bodies were met.

Chris Huntly-Gordon

Head of Public Partnerships

Chris heads up HUB’s public partnerships. This role also encompasses working with public sector organisations, leading on public procurement regeneration opportunities.
Chris has spent the last seven years specialising in acquiring brownfield sites, managing and delivering large complex mixed-use regeneration projects with a combined value of over £1bn. This has entailed managing various stakeholders, from the local community to parties invested in
the deal.

Lauren Russell

Marketing Manager

Lauren is responsible for organising the development team’s daily operations, and oversees the marketing and social media for HUB. Her creative skills and strong work ethic allow HUB to execute their project presentations at an exceptional standard. Prior to joining HUB Lauren was an Office Manager for a construction company where she developed a keen interest in property development and wishes to further her career within this sector.
She holds a BA honours degree in English and Geography from the University of Ireland Galway.

 

Tom Starkey

Tom Starkey

Acquisitions Manager

Tom is responsible for the sourcing and acquisition of development opportunities. Prior to joining HUB he worked with Berkeley Homes and Taylor Wimpey. He has been involved in acquiring both large complex mixed-used schemes and Greenfield housing schemes in Greater London and the Midlands. In total Tom has been involved in projects delivering over 2,500 homes with combined value of circa £1.5bn. His passion is finding and delivering sites capable of transforming communities and creating better places in which to live.

He holds a BA honours degree in Geography from The University of Manchester.

Gordon Mackenzie

Gordon Mackenzie

Investment Analyst

Gordon focuses on sourcing, appraising and financial reporting.
Prior to joining SquarestoneHUB in 2018, he gained experience at Aberdeen Standard Investments, Chris Stewart Group and Sundial Properties.

Gordon was awarded a MA in Economics & Finance and a MSc in Real Estate Management and Development with a Distinction.

Anish Kanjiyani

Anish Kanjiyani

Senior Group Accountant

Anish is an ACCA qualified accountant and Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Working at senior positions in various accounting practice firms for over six years, he has wealth of experience in budgeting, managerial reporting, profitability analysis, statutory audits, treasury functions and voluntary liquidation of SPV’s. His can-do attitude and strong work ethic have allowed HUB projects to meet its key reporting deadlines with statutory bodies and complete challenging and complex HMRC compliance visits successfully as well.

Anish holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
